We will practice being present with each other as a group, in groups of 2 or 3, and, using my photos, being present with the earth, a plant, an animal, a landscape, etc.
There can be very little speaking beyond a word or two stating what is evoked or there can be some or a lot, depending on what is going on. The focus is on being present; with the ‘other’ in their fullness and recognizing that he/she/it is not separate from me, that I am being a part of him/her/it. Despite intending to see the world through such eyes, I am still too much entrained to the judgments that I have grown up with and am surrounded by. It takes practice, presence, and a whole lot of love to change that.
The term Interbeing comes from Thich Nhat Hanh. I may use quotes from his book Interbeing to take us deep into that state of being.
We will stay within 60min. and may start out with using less time.
