Tending the Wild Edges of Uncertain Times
at Granite Ridge Camp
Creston, CA
April 17-21, 2026
Join us for the 2026 Wilderness Guides Council annual in-person gathering. What a gift to be able to meet in person and to sit together with the hills and open sky of the Californian Central Coast. We gather with companions—old friendships rekindled, new ones just beginning. Together, we’ll listen for what’s emerging in our guiding work, how we meet this ever-turning world, and how we tend the wild edges of these uncertain times. More details to come as the program comes together.
Granite Ridge Camp is situated on 152 acres of rolling hills, Coast Live Oak, meadows of chaparral, and small canyon with a seasonal creek. This area is the traditional homelands of the Te’po’ta’ahl or Salinan Tribe, and the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini or Northern Chumash Tribe. You can learn more about the history and current situation of the Salinan & Northern Chumash people by visiting https://salinantribe.com/ and https://yttnorthernchumashtribe.com/.
We hope you will join us for a bit of respite and reconnection….
