Biographical Info
Krista "Kris" Bajgier, LICSW, MEd, SEP, is a certified nature-informed trauma therapist and wilderness guide with specialties in body-based interventions (Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and somatic IFS). In 2021, she founded Outdoor Therapeutics, a Maryland-based group practice in order to disrupt the dominant medical model with nature-infused healing modalities. In 2026, she closed it's door to return to solopreneurship, a simplified forest-based life, and to support herself and her family in living more deeply and honestly with the land. Her current passion project, Terra Soma Health, is a nature-based mental health private practice with adjunct wilderness programs including rites of passage work and therapeutic backpacking for adults. She is currently working under the mentorship of human and non-human others to deepen her commitment to decolonizing her practice and pursuing death lodge work.
