Betsy Perluss
Biographical Info
Betsy Perluss, Ph.D. has been involved with the School of Lost Borders for over fifteen years as staff, wilderness guide, and trainer. She holds a doctorate in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute where she currently teaches courses on ecopsychology and rites of passage. A gifted guide and teacher, Betsy brings much heart, intensity, and humor to her wilderness work. She is also a licensed psychotherapist and recently retired from an eleven year position as Professor of Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles where she integrated council and mirroring practices into her classes. Her writing on psyche and nature has been published in a variety of journals.
