CAMPING
Imagine pitching your tent in a lush, grassy meadow beneath the sprawling shade of oak trees. The camping meadow is a shaded and open space for tent camping that is near the bathroom, and if you are feeling adventurous, a longer stroll will lead you to more secluded hideaways tucked away among the shrubs. Access to gendered multi-stall bathrooms and showers is in the Lower Dorm, which is situated between the camping meadow and the pond. There is a parking lot nearby with small carts to help you move your gear. You are welcome to sleep in your vehicle, but please be aware it will be in the general parking lot and may not have much shade. There is no fridge or kitchen access for campers. Coolers could be stored inside the lower dorm near the restroom facilities. This building also has outlets for charging electronics. There is one RV hookup near the camping area- please email netkeeper@wildernessguidescouncil.org if you are interested in this option.

WGC 2026 Gathering Scholarship Request
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE DECEMBER 31
Offers will be made by January 15th so that you can plan.
We know this could particularly help our Canadian friends as the current exchange rate might be an impediment to participation. LGBTQ+ and BIPOC members are especially encouraged to apply – and this fund is for everyone in our community that truly needs support to attend. We don’t want to miss seeing you due to funds!
Weather
Spring in Central Coast is often mild with foggy mornings that burn off to low 70s sunshine and a light breeze. It can get down into the low 40s at night and can often feel cooler with the damp air. There is also a chance of rain, though the average is 2 days of rain in April in this area. If you are camping, it is a good idea to have a rainfly. Expect green grasses, wildflowers, dew in the morning, and oak trees that are just starting to sprout soft green leaves.
