SUMMARY:Colorado Queer Quest 2024
DESCRIPTION:For over the last decade at the Queer Quest\, groups of people from every part of the queer community have gathered on the land to celebrate our stories and step into the fullness of our queer bodies and selves. This safe and healing space has been a refuge and a reminder to all that being queer is a reflection and celebration of nature’s true diversity. Showing up as who we are\, and with our many gifts\, brings wholeness to the world! \nQueer people have always been edge walkers who are a source of deep connection between the community\, nature and the mystery\, and now is the time to fully own our place. With all the challenges facing the queer community in the world today\, now is the time to come back to our roots and the gifts that the queer community brings to the world. Connecting deeply to yourself\, and fully accepting all of who you are\, is both a radical act of rebellion against forces of hate and division\, and a radical act of communion with all living things! \nJoin us in this inclusive and supportive circle surrounded by the tallest peaks in Colorado for this ceremonial rite of passage designed specifically for the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Coming together\, to step all the way in to the multifaceted person you are and being witnessed by the community\, is healing for everyone and the land. \nIf you are feeling the call to be on the land in queer community to do deep\, personal work for yourself\, your community and the earth\, then this program is right and the time has come. To secure your place\, the first steps are to enroll by clicking the ‘enroll’ button and sending a deposit by clicking the ‘pay deposit/tuition’ button. If you are unable to pay a deposit\, write to school@lostborders.org about a scholarship. No one will be turned away for lack of ability to pay. Taking these steps will save your spot in the program. You can also send a check to the School of Lost Borders but you will still need to enroll through the website. This program has a long waitlist every year so enrolling and paying or working out the deposit as early as you can is a good idea. You will then receive more information about the next steps in the process.

SUMMARY:Fall Rites of Passage
DESCRIPTION:As the leaves change\, a different way of life is tugging at your heart. A new story is begging to be told. And your gifts are longing to be shared with the world. \nMarking life passages allows you to release what no longer serves you and fully embrace all of who you are. As you spend time alone\, in a wild place on the earth\, something deep in your bones is revived – a call you have been longing to answer. \nIt is time to nurture your aliveness\, live in reciprocity\, and in harmony with the Earth\, yourself\, and one another. \nThis initiatory time can transform your life and allow you to emerge with a new story. The one that is begging to be told. \nYou will have the opportunity to share this story and to be witnessed by community amongst the stunning Fall aspen leaves in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This experience can cultivate belonging and meaning in your life and invites you to show up fully as the valuable human being you are. \nProgram overview:\nThis eleven-day initiatory program is divided into three sections; severance\, threshold time\, and incorporation. \nOnce you commit to coming\, the severance process begins where you sever from the life you have lived in order to step into the life of who you truly are now. You physically leave home\, but the psyche also severs from the old during this time. The first days of the program are a time of physical separation from your daily life\, psychological preparation\, and setting the intention for your solo time. \nThe threshold time is your solo time of four days and nights on the land to mark your own life passage(s). This is the liminal space for you to deal with the past\, let go of what no longer serves\, and celebrate all of who you are now. Base camp will be held not far from your solo spot and you will have a ‘buddy’ to ensure both your and their wellbeing each day. \nThe days spent after your solo time are the beginning part of the incorporation process. You are invited to share the story of your solo and be witnessed in the community of the group. The guides will reflect or ‘mirror’ your story back to you and the gifts you bring to this new phase of life. Finally\, we will prepare you to carry your story\, your gifts and yourself back into the world where your incorporation process will continue to unfold over the year ahead.

SUMMARY:BIPOC Mirroring Training: Reflecting BIPOC Stories Through Nature and Belonging
DESCRIPTION:Gathering with a supportive group of BIPOC Guides is an opportunity to feel deep connection and belonging with each other and nature. Nature both reflects and celebrates the full spectrum of our intersecting identities. Sharing our stories and receiving mirroring can transform trauma and separation into healing and liberation. This is a place to be seen and heard in our fullness and to celebrate the value our unique identities bring to the world.
