Micah Hammond
Biographical Info
Micah began to study the four shields when she was 18 and went on her first vision fast through the School of Lost Borders. She fell in love with ceremony and assisted a fast the following summer. It is when she mirrors stories that she feels most alive and knows this is what she has to offer her community. Since then she has facilitated teachings of the four shields of illness to nurses, led 4-part medicine walk workshops, offered four shields of grief training, co-led and assisted 14 day vision quests, and co-led vision fast trainings for guides. She is committed to deepening her practice of guiding and reconnecting people with Nature.
Micah has received a Master’s degree at Naropa University in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Wilderness Therapy. She has done trainings in dream work, meditation and yoga as therapeutic interventions. She loves to rock climb, hike, make handmade gifts, and dance.
