Wiebke works as a freelance facilitator worldwide. Her home now is South Africa and she
devotes her work and life to personal and leadership development in a global context. As
International Programme Manager of Educo Africa she runs wilderness and community
based Social Justice and conscious global citizenship courses for groups of academics,
professionals and young people from all over the world.
She now runs similar programmes in Nepal. Both foster a deep understanding of
common humanity and interconnectedness, a sense of co-ownership and coresponsibility
that is inspiring for all and galvanizes the will to act.
Experiential methodology and the use of wilderness as a tool for growth and selfrecognition
are central to her work. Her scope of free lance facilitation outside of running
her own programmes ranges from working with global corporate leaders on changing
their business practice to creating a more equitable and sustainable world – to leadership
training in International schools all over the world for teachers and students alike.
Following her passion she continues to run Vision Quests and deep wilderness
immersion programmes when and wherever the chance arises.
Wiebke has a MA in Education, English Language & Literature and Fine Arts (Germany).
She is a certified Mountain- and Vision Quest guide (South Africa/ USA) with 20 years of
experience of facilitating processes. Previously she held positions as General Manager of
Educo Africa, Managing Director of Erlebnistage Schweriner See, an outdoor leadership
School in Germany, and High School teacher in Berlin. When she doesn’t work she loves
climbing mountains, riding her bicycle, swimming in the ocean and painting expressive
large sized canvases in acrylics.
