Anastasios Pantelopulos

North Carolina
Anastasios, better known as Stas, is a therapist, wilderness guide, and environmental scientist. He's been hooked on Rites of Passage work, and it's been hooked on him as well, since he first had the opportunity to assist with a fast in 2012. From 2015-2017 he facilitated, trained assistants, and was clinical gatekeeper for the Vision Quest at Four Circles Recovery Center, a hybrid wilderness therapy program for young adults age 18-33 with substance abuse issues. Stas currently leads Rites of Passage work for a high school in the Asheville area, and for small groups of curious individuals in the region. An experiential therapist trained in Gestalt therapy and Expressive Arts, he sees clients for individual psychotherapy and group therapy through his private practice Forest Light Counseling. In his spare time Stas enjoys playing wandering about the Southern Appalachian mountains, playing board games and theater games with friends, finding ways to get to the coasts of the country to go on whale watches, and learning more and more about the mysterious world of mycology.
